Dee French
Dee has had Shelties for the last 25 years. She became interested in dog training in Jr. High when she trained her Grandmother’s Collie to sit, lie down and heel! Dee currently has two Shetland sheepdogs, Jetz and Duffy. But, she has worked with several different breeds.
Dee has participated in several different types of dog sports including Agility, Flyball, Obedience, Rally-O, Musical Freestyle and K9 Nose Work. Dee and her dogs have competed in Obedience all the way up through Utility. Dee is currently working on the Duel title in Rally-O, and has already made it through the Rally Excellence. She has also had two Flyball Champions!
Her dogs have also earned many titles in Agility including 3 MACH’s in AKC. She hopes to get her first K9 Nose Work title in February with both of her dogs.
Dee has attended many different Obedience and Agility workshops over the years. The best advice she ever received regarding dog training was to keep your training lessons short, and to not let the dog get bored! Dee really enjoys seeing the owner and dog come together as a team, because it means she has done something right. Dee loves that dogs are always there for you and they are an integral part of her life. Dee is always excited to meet new dogs that come into class; they all have stories to tell.
Dee is also a CGC Evaluator.
