World Team Workouts

Mar
12
1:00 pm

Fridays, March 12th & 19th, April 2nd and 23rd 1-5pm

PARTICIPANT COST: $150 for all four dates, or $75 per session
AUDITING: Free – you can walk courses, ask questions, etc. (but you will be expected to help build courses and cheer on those running!)

Our goal for each of these dates will be to run, at a minimum, two different courses designed by the judges who will be judging at the World Championships in Germany this fall (Ms. Sabine Mac Nelly and Mr. Nalle Jansson).  We will be focusing on sharpening our skills and strategies on these courses, NOT on making major changes to our handling styles.  We will also focus on supporting one another in making assertive handling choices, thinking outside the box, and getting the best that we can out of ourselves and our dogs!

Priority for working spots will be given to those who meet the following criteria, in the following order:

Teams who are attending Tryouts this year as competitors or FEO (white) dogs. Priority registration is from 2/18-2/26.

Open registration: After this date, if the workouts have not filled, the following teams will be allowed to fill remaining spots in the order registrations are received – registration is 2/27 to March 8th:

  • Handlers who are attending Tryouts this year to watch or who have intentions of attending Tryouts in the future with their dog.
  • Teams not planning on attending Tryouts but interested in seriously challenging and different courses at ISC jump heights (14”, 18”, 26”).
  • Teams not planning on attending Tryouts but interested in seriously challenging and different courses at regular jump heights.

ALL teams must meet the following criteria in order to participate:

  • Teams must be competing in Exc B in AKC or Master’s in USDAA.
  • Dogs must have solid contacts and weaves.
  • No people aggressive or dog aggressive dogs will be allowed
  • Positive training/handling techniques must be in effect at all times
